"Aromas of ripe dark-skinned fruit, vanilla and leather shape the nose. The forward, juicy palate offers blackberry jam, mocha and licorice alongside grainy tannins." - 90 points Wine Enthusiast
Castello di Bossi is located in the southern half of the Chianti Classico production zone, in the Comune of Castelnuovo Berardenga. The estate has been around since 9th century AD and is now led by Marco Bacci. Marco is not from a wine family. He worked for years and made his family garment company a successful jeans manufacturing outfit. But he soon caught the bug and started making his own wine in the estate in 1985. Corbaia was his first wine- a Super Tuscan with 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. While he kept on looking after the fashion business and extensive travels, he also started replanting and upgrading the quality of his wines. Ten years later Marco finally decided to get full time into wine business and also started looking for new properties to fulfill his desire to own three wineries in the best Tuscan locations.

Grape: 100% Sangiovese

Vineyard: Castello di Bossi has an area of 650 hectares, 124 of which are cultivated with vineyards, where we find Sangiovese grapes, the main grape variety of Chianti Classico and of Tuscany in general. At an average altitude of about 350 m above sea level. All this, combined with excellent exposure to the sun and a particular microclimate, makes it possible to create and mature healthy grapes with very high potential.

Taste: Attractive aromas of dark cherry, dried rose petals/herbs, vanilla, and tobacco. The red fruit notes transfer over to the palate leaving you with a lush and juicy mouthfeel finishing off with bright acidity
