Description
Varietal: 85% Zinfandel with the balance a blend of Carignan, Mataro, Grenache, and Alicante Bouschet. Vinification consists of native yeast fermentations with a combination of punch downs and pump overs. Only racked once prior to bottling and is aged in a combination of French and Austrian oak puncheons and foudres.
Tasting: Red fruit, plum, and pepper on the nose that carries on the palate. Well balanced body, and freshness. Long finish that characterize the heritage vineyards.
