Champagne Louis Roederer Brut Rosé 2015
A an elegant vintage Rosé that will not disappoint!
Description
Varietal: 63% Pinot Noir from very chalky vineyards in Cumières and 37% Chardonnay from the village of Cuis in the Côte des Blancs. 20% of the vins clairs this year are aged in larger oak casks prior to blending and bottling. All of the Pinot Noir is macerated together with a small amount of Chardonnay juice; a unique method for producing rosé.
Taste: Pink hued with attractive golden tints in the glass that displays beautiful beads of soft, even bubbles. On the nose a young bouquet of tart strawberries, peach, sourdough bread, and citrus is evident. Additional aromatic complexity comes through after a few swirls in the glass with a medley of spice, warm cinnamon and base of chalky soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a fine core, excellent soil signature, elegant mousse and a long, pure and dry finish.
