Description
Varietal: Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The vineyard is located in the Saint-Aubin appellation in Burgundy, France, and is owned by the Morey-Coffinet family. The grapes are handpicked and sorted before undergoing a slow fermentation in French oak barrels, followed by aging on the lees for 12 months.
Taste: In the glass, the 1er Cru 'Le Charmois' displays a pale golden color with green reflections. On the nose, it exhibits complex aromas of white flowers, citrus, and hazelnut, with a subtle touch of vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, the wine is rich and creamy with a lively acidity that balances the ripe fruit flavors of peach, pear, and lemon zest. The finish is long and persistent with a mineral undertone that reflects the terroir.
