Description

Varietal: This Rosso is composed of 150+ year old vines- 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Capuccio. Aged in oak for 24 months; and also bottled aged for 24 additional months.

Taste: Ruby red in the glass. Delicately scented with aromas suggesting red fruit & violet, Mediterranean brush, hazelnut, eucalyptus, and earthy minerals. The linear, elegant palate offers dried cherry, anise, orange zest and coffee alongside fine-grained tannins. It closes on an almost salty note thanks to the sandy volcanic soils.
