Varietal(s): 50% Corvina, 25% Corvinone, & 20% Rondinella
Taste: On the nose, a swirling and pronounced bouquet of figs and stewed plums is offered up from the glass. Following the initial aromas, we are carried into the territory of blackcurrants, fennel, black licorice and raspberries. As the mercurial wine washes over the mid-palate, we are met with complexity and intrigue, with hints of tabasco, mint, cooked cherries, and raisins. The tannins are rich but gentle; this is underlined by balanced acidity and a satisfyingly long finish.
