Copertino Riserva 2013
Description
Varietal: 100% Negroamaro. The grapes are grown in the Copertino appellation, which is located in the Salento peninsula of Puglia, in southern Italy. The wine is made by maceration for 7-8 days at 28°C, followed by gentle pressing, fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks. The wine is released after several years of bottle aging.
Taste: Offers richness and complexity, with aromas of blackberry, plum and leather upon first swirl. It has a ruby red color with garnet hints and a full and ethereal nose of ripe fruit, Mediterranean vegetation and almond. The palate is warm, rich and generous, with flavors of blackcurrant, dried fruits and spices. The finish is long and balanced, with fine tannins and a touch of minerality.
