Description

Varietal: Made from 100% Gamay from vines that are 70 years old- the Domaine Mee Godard is a true expression of the Beaujolais region. The grapes are grown on the steep slopes of the Côte de Py vineyard and harvested by hand. The wine is then aged for 11 months in old oak barrels to develop its depth and complexity.

Tasting notes: In the glass, the Domaine Mee Godard Morgon 'Côte de Py' 2020 is a beautiful ruby color. On the nose, it offers aromas of red fruit, including cherry and raspberry, along with hints of spice and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and velvety, with flavors of black cherry, currant, and plum. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, leading to a long, satisfying finish.
