Description
Varietal: 100% Chardonnay from 50+ year old vines. Traditional vinification- aged in oak barrels for 11-12 months (between 20 and 30% new barrels).
Taste: Pale straw yellow color with golden highlights in the glass with a nose full of notes of candied lemon, pomelo, melted butter and roasted hazelnut. Round, rich, balanced attack with a nice tension and fullness. A fleshy, character of white flowers, vanilla and candied lemon are also present mid-palate. Spicy, full-bodied finish with toast, brioche and acacia. Some faint hints of white pepper and salted butter also on the long finish.
