Limited Addition 'Noble Rot' Dry Chenin Blanc 2021

  • Varietal: 100% Chenin Blanc with 60% botrytis (aka "Noble Rot") infection
  • Alcohol: 14.1%
  • Production: 120 cases | Practicing Organic
  • Tasting Notes: Concentrated, rich flavors of honey and stone fruit with a luscious texture. Pours a glowing color of light copper with aromas layers deep that smell like a thousand layers of baklava topped with apricots and chopped pistachios, soaked in rose water. Flavors of dried apricots, blood orange, and burnt caramel creme brûlée on the palate.

  • Tasting Notes: Bright and juicy, it tastes like a harvest bounty of cherries, strawberries and sunshine, its late summer bounciness tempered by a refreshing orange peel bitterness and a jolt of minerality. It retains all of the Pinor Noir feels, but lightened, lifted by the Pinot Gris. Pinot lovers will totally enjoy this one.

  • Tasting Notes: Undoubtedly unique flavor expressions, both exotic in its savory fruits of persimmon, caracara orange, hood strawberries, and salted mango, as well as spiced with cumin and sumac. Rich from concentrated old vine fruit, with soft tannins on the finish. Neither a red wine nor an orange wine (white grape with brief skin ferments) but utterly its own unique self and completely captivating.

Chad shared the same philosophies about the potential of the Willamette Valley growing region for growing more than just a couple of grape varieties and also had a commitment to natural fermentation methods.
