Description

Varietal: Crafted exclusively from Blaufränkisch grapes, a native variety to Austria. The vineyards of the Leithaberg region, located in Burgenland, provide the ideal conditions for the grapes to thrive. The wine is fermented using indigenous yeasts and aged in a combination of large oak barrels and used barriques for a period of time, allowing the flavors to harmonize and evolve.

Taste: In the glass, the 2018 exhibits a deep garnet color, hinting at its depth and intensity. On the nose, it entices with aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and crushed herbs, complemented by subtle hints of spice and earth. The palate is alive with a symphony of flavors, ranging from juicy plum & blackcurrant to savory notes of black olives and dried herbs. The wine's medium to full body is supported by fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity, adding structure and balance. The finish is long and lingering, showcasing the wine's impressive depth and complexity.
