Domaine Michel Bouzereau et Fils Meursault 'Les Grands Charrons' 2023

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay

Sourced from a 1.5 hectare vineyard site in the heart of the Mersault appellation. Limestone soils make up the top of the hillside, while rocky soils collect at the bottom due to erosion. The entire harvest comes from five parcels of vines, 60% at the top slope and the rest from the bottom slope. The wine is aged for 1 year in 20% new oak barrels, followed by 2-4 months in tank.

Tasting Notes: This delicious village-level Meursault shows the potential at every level, with its elegant aromas of ripe pear, hazelnut and acacia flowers. The texture is silky and elegant, with nothing heavy or overly rich. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and hints of white pepper, quite linear and Puligny-like in style.
