Shipping & returns
Wine is an alcoholic beverage and therefore subject to state-by-state alcohol shipping laws. We are currently only legally able to ship wine from our North Carolina location to the following states/territories:
- North Dakota
- Puerto Rico
- Washington D.C.
- West Virginia
If you are desiring to ship wine to a state not listed above, the only other option to enjoy our products is to arrange an in-store pickup at our store location in NC.
Alternatively, if you would like to arrange an in-store pickup, you can select that option in store checkout. Or if you have further shipping questions, you can also contact us via the contact form.
Unless noted otherwise at checkout, we utilize UPS SHIPPING for all wine and chocolate shipments.
For WINE shipments, we ship with "ADULT-signature Required" package identification. Package recipient must be 21 years or older to sign for receiving the shipment.
UPS GROUND is our standard mode of shipping and costs are based upon actual package weight and dimensions. Shipping costs are calculated at the time of purchase, using our online shipping application interface. Our goal is to minimize shipping costs, as we would prefer your spend goes into wine rather than logistics, however, shipping costs are real and our goal is to be as competitive and cost-effective as possible.
NOTE: During the summer months, we advise that you either use an expedited form of shipping via AIR, or request us to hold your shipment until the warm months pass, at which point we will ship your wine. During this period, we will contact you with options for proceeding. You can also email us using contacts listed on the Contact Us page or the Customer Support contact form. Our goal is to ensure that your wine arrives safely and without the impact of high temperatures, which can cook wines during shipment.
Due to legal constraints on alcohol shipments, we are not allowed to accept returned goods.
Due to the perishable nature of our confections, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for items that are not damaged or defective. Please contact us immediately if, for some reason, you have received damaged or defective product so that we may replace your product or refund your purchase price (minus shipping). (Damage does not include melting or other damage caused by heat, unless you have shipped your chocolates Overnight. Our shipping policy defines our recommendations for shipping chocolates and confections to best protect your purchase.)
We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by weather, mechanical failure or other acts beyond our control, incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the purchaser on the original web order. Ideally, we recommend shipping to a business address at which someone will be present to receive your shipment.
