Burgundy Blind Tasting Challenge

Blind Value: 3 Burgundies, 3 price points... Can you tell the difference?

Think you can tell a $125 Burgundy from a $30 bottle? Let's put your confidence to the test with our Burgundy Blind Tasting Challenge. $35 / flight of 3.

Taste through three distinct red Burgundies - each from a different tier of price (ranging from $30 to $125 per bottle) and served without labels.

YOUR CHALLENGE: Taste, compare, and decide which wine you think sits at each price tier. Can you spot the splurge, or will your favorite turn out to be the most modestly priced?

Our Blind Tasting Challenges are a community favorite for a reason: they’re equal parts education and fun, a chance to train your palate, challenge assumptions, and enjoy the thrill of exploration. Whether you’re new to wine or a seasoned collector, this flight promises both discovery and delight.

  • Rich and expressive, with ripe stone fruit, honey, and saline minerality. A benchmark example of South Africa’s mastery with the grape.

Past Weekly Flights

Explore Where Our Flights Have Taken Us

Each week from Thursday–Sunday, Petit Philippe curates a bespoke tasting flight—sometimes a storied region, other times a single visionary producer, a varietal study, or a themed exploration like Aromatic Whites or Women of Wine. Below you’ll find our recent flights (with links to that week’s newsletter), followed by an archive you can open by month.

How our flights work

Flights feature a 2-oz pour of 3–4 wines depending on the theme. Typical pricing: $23–$35. Prefer a glass? Our by-the-glass list rotates weekly ($14–$25), and you’re welcome to open any bottle you purchase—no corkage.
