Description
Varietal: 100% Sangiovese. The grapes are grown in organic vineyards in the Chianti Classico appellation, which spans the provinces of Florence and Siena. The wine is made by whole-cluster pressing and cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 24 months, followed by 6 months in bottle.
Palate: Ruby-red color with garnet reflections and a complex nose of red and black fruits, spice and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied with firm tannins and a good acidity, making it an ideal food wine. The flavors are complex and layered, with more red fruit notes, along with subtle oak and earthy undertones. The finish is long and persistent.
