Description
Varietal: 100% Chenin Blanc
From a small parcel of land within the cool-climate district of Elgin. Grapes are fermented with wild yeasts and barrel aged in mostly neutral oak for 10 months. The wine underwent partial malolactic fermentation in barrel. No added enzymes, yeast and fining agents were used in the making of this wine. Only 2700 bottles produced.
Tasting Notes: The wine has an attractive pale straw colour. The nose leads with appealing citrus notes, which unfold onto the palate with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. The broad spectrum of citrus, underlying minerality and gentle wooding have contributed to the complexity of this Chenin Blanc and culminate in a long lingering finish.
