Description
Varietal: A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are sourced from top vineyards across the Columbia Valley, including Red Willow, Boushey, and Champoux. The wine is fermented with native yeast and aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak barrels.
Taste: In the glass, the Avennia 'Sestina' Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet color. On the nose, the wine exhibits aromas of ripe black fruit, cassis, and graphite, followed by notes of cedar, tobacco, and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish. The flavors are a beautiful blend of dark fruit, chocolate, and espresso with hints of anise and black olive.
