Why We Love It at Petit Philippe
We love this Crémant because it delivers Champagne-like elegance at a fraction of the price. Limoux is one of France’s oldest sparkling-wine regions, and this bottling captures that heritage beautifully—fresh, energetic and impeccably crafted. It’s a perfect choice for holiday toasts, festive gatherings or as an everyday sparkling staple.
Winemaking
Crémant de Limoux is produced using the traditional method, the same technique used in Champagne. Grapes are hand-harvested from high-altitude vineyards in the foothills of the Pyrenees, where cool nights preserve acidity and enhance aromatic purity. Base wines undergo primary fermentation before being bottled for secondary fermentation, creating natural bubbles. Extended lees aging develops texture, fine mousse and subtle toasty notes. The final blend reflects the region’s signature mix of Chardonnay for elegance, Chenin Blanc for freshness and Mauzac for regional character.
