Description
Varietal: 90% Marsanne, 10% Rousanne. The vines (50+ years old) are situated 492 feet above sea level in close proximity to the Rhône River. 40% of the wine was aged in demi-muid 600L barrels (60% new, 30% 2nd fill) while the remaining 60% was matured in inox tanks over the course of 8 months prior to blending and bottling.
Taste: Elegant floral aromatics interlaced with honey, citrus and apricot segway to a full bodied palate. The mouthfeel is smooth and the tannins are round and subdued. Additional melon, peach and citrus notes come forth before the medium length finish that has a faint hint of spice.
