Description
Varietal: A blend of clones 115, 667, and Pommard. The grapes were hand-harvested and carefully sorted before fermentation in small lots with native yeasts. The wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which were new.
Taste: With a beautiful ruby color in the glass, the Wayfarer "WF2" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir 2020 opens with aromas of fresh raspberries, cranberries, and cherries, along with hints of vanilla and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is elegant and silky, with flavors of ripe red fruits, cocoa powder, and a subtle minerality. The tannins are fine-grained and well-integrated, leading to a long and lingering finish with notes of spice and red fruit.
