Description
Varietal: Made from a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon grapes, grown on the estate's 60-hectare vineyard in Pessac-Léognan. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted before being gently pressed. The must is then fermented in oak barrels, of which 40% are new, with regular stirring of the lees. The wine is aged for 10 months in these barrels before bottling.
Taste: Château Carbonnieux Pessac-Léognan Blanc 2020 is a pale yellow wine with green reflections. The nose is intense and complex, with aromas of citrus, white flowers, and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is fresh and vibrant, with flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and peach. The wine has a beautiful minerality and a long, persistent finish, with a slight touch of oak.
