Why We Love It at Petit Philippe

This wine offers tremendous value for the pedigree: from a top-flight village in Bierzo, crafted by a leading name in Spanish wine. It brings sophistication without over-ripeness, and provides a compelling alternative to more familiar Spanish reds.

Winemaking

Sourced from old-vine terraces in Corullón, the grapes are hand-harvested and partially whole-cluster fermented. Aging takes place in neutral French oak and concrete vats, allowing the purity of fruit and slate-driven minerality to dominate the profile. The estate favors minimal extraction to highlight elegance and site specificity.

Serving & Pairing

Let it open for 20-30 minutes or decant if serving now. Ideal with roasted pork tenderloin, mushroom risotto, or medium-aged Spanish cheeses.

Drinking Window

Delivers immediate pleasure, yet has the structure to evolve gracefully through 2026–2034+.
