Description
Varietal: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
From a collection of the highest terraced vines on the family's property. Grapes are harvested from west, south, and east facing slopes on the conical hill on the family's farm, which all contribute uniquely to the flavor profile. Hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel.
Tasting Notes: Fruit driven nose led by wafts of white pear, granadilla and blackcurrant, softened by kiwi fruit, golden delicious apples and hints of lime. This medley of fruits extends onto the palate revealing an additional expression vegetation and further enhanced by an underlying salinity. The mouthfeel captures the purity of Elgin’s fruit, resulting in a layered, well-balanced wine with good length.
